7 KHOON MAAF gets poor response at Berlin Fest

The premiere of 7 KHOON MAAF held at the Berlin Film Festival was a disappointment. The premiere was a non-premiere. It just had its regular screenings as a Panorama film and there wasn't any buzz surrounding the film.

Though UTV had inserted an advertisement in a trade magazine and had a market screening of the film as well, there were no reports of its world sales. Its press screening coincided with the competition screenings on the 17th Feb, 2011. There were three other screenings after that. Two of them were in far off locations.

Priyanka Chopra was conspicuous by her absence. Vishal Bharadwaj or anyone from his team were not at the closing ceremony. It seems they left immediately after the first few screenings. There was no red carpet event or press conference for the film.
