Kangna Ranaut- 'Weight' and watch!

Kangana Ranaut who is known for her acting prowess, also believes in getting into the skin of the character she is playing. She tries to imbibe all the physical qualities and mannerisms her character would have in real life.

In TANU WEDS MANU, where Kangna plays a small town, wild girl, Kangna's character Tanu was supposed to weigh more than Kangna. Kangna readily put on the extra kilos, when director Anand Rai conveyed to her that her character needed to look a certain way.

Well, as they say actors are chameleons, Kangna put on the weight for the shoot of TANU WEDS MANU. However, once the shoot was wrapped up Kangna quickly shed the weight, and when went back to her original weight, her skimpy best.

But the twist in the tale is that now that TANU WEDS MANU is gearing up for its 25th February release, director Aanand Rai wants Kangna to put on all the weight again as he wants her to be in the character of Tanu while promoting the film.

He wants her to look very Indian, a girl from small town.

Says a source close to Anand Rai, "Yes, it's true that Anand wants Kangna to gain her weight back, and get the look of her character Tanu, as he feel that the audiences will get the feel of her character if she promotes the film as Tanu."

Well, Anand Rai has requested Kangna to gain weight, let's see what she has to say....over to you Kangna!
