Shazahn: My South stint wasn't a knee jerk reaction

A year ago she was a newcomer to watch out for when she was paired opposite none other than Ranbir Kapoor in ROCKET SINGH - SALESMAN OF THE YEAR. Since the film didn't find many takers, Shazahn Padamsee too didn't find the much needed attention that she was searching for. She pronto made a move down South and did a film each in Tamil and Telugu before getting ready to face the camera for a Hindi film once again with DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI

"It wasn't like I had moved down South in a knee jerk reaction", defends Shazahn when asked if she had felt let down by Bollywood after her ROCKET SINGH... experience, "I wanted to use the time available for me to gain more experience. I did a Tamil and a Telugu film simultaneously. It was one experience for me to be frequently travelling between Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai."

Her Telugu film featured her opposite South heartthrob Ram Charan Teja who is Chiranjeevi's son. Titled ORANGE, the film featured Genelia D'Souza as well and was recently released in theaters.

"It was an amazing experience to be working with Ram Charan. He is just so amazing", gushes Shazahn who is working with much older Ajay Devgn in her upcoming romcom, "I am glad to be working with such amazing people at such an early stage of my career."

Well, now that she is being seen in DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI, she knows that the third Hindi film has to be special as well with no hasty decision being made. "I waited to sign my second Hindi film. I can well afford to take my time for my third one as well. I am here to play a long innings", smiles Shazahn.

DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI releases all over on 28th January.
