Karan Johar fears his SHORT TERM SHAADI director

Karan Johar has announced the release date of his Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan starrer (which is currently being directed by debutant Shakun Batra) as 6th October. However before one asks him if this is the same film for which the title floating around is SHORT TERM SHAADI, he is quick to give out a 'stop' gesture before you proceed any further.

'Please don't create problems for me by calling SHORT TERM SHAADI even as a tentative title; the director is going to kill me', Karan breaks into a laugh when questioned about the film's title, 'Shakun Batra hates this title and wants something else. We are yet to close on it though. Meanwhile the first schedule of the film has already been lapped up in the USA. Call it cliched but this is one love story with a totally different treatment.'

Meanwhile the world is waiting to know when does his own directorial venture, STUDENT OF THE YEAR, which launches three newcomers - Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra - goes on floors next. 'Well, that would be in Summer 2011', confirms Karan Johar before signing off.

Well, if rumours surrounding the inclusion of Shah Rukh Khan in the film are true as well then this could well be the film to watch out for once it is readied for release in late 2010/early 2011.
