Sajid: Only Akshay can carry off HOUSEFULL 2

When HOUSEFULL was released, a section of audience had complained that the character played by Akshay Kumar was way too subtle in the film. Hence for HOUSEFULL 2, Sajid Khan has gone an extra mile to ensure that audience indeed get to see what they have always wanted in Akshay.

"What Akshay did in HOUSEFULL was something that he had never done before. He played his character of being a panauti so brilliantly. Now in HOUSEFULL 2 his fan base will be happy to see him do something which is a merge of something that is new but also something that you expect him. Rest assured I would never cheat my audience and will give them what they want," says Sajid from London where he is currently shooting the film.

Though he isn't willing to reveal much about Akshay's characterization in HOUSEFULL 2, Sajid says that he would be the ultimate hero in the multi-starrer.

"No one other than Akshay can carry off the kind of role which has been written for him in HOUSEFULL 2," says Sajid with a straight face, "He is someone who is really dashing and a true debonair. The kind of relationship that I have with him makes us completely trust each other. He also knows that I like to present him in a different light film after film."

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and with music by Sajid-Wajid, HOUSEFULL 2 boasts of a huge cast comprising of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, John Abraham, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zarine Khan, Shreyas Talpade and Shazahn Padamsee along with veterans like Mithun Chakraborty, Rishi Kapoor with Chunkey Pandey and Johnny Lever adding on to the comic fun. The film releases all over on 1st June 2012, the first Friday after IPL 5 culmination.
