When Big B stunned Deepika

How can one be expected to react if there is a voice that comes from right behind and claims-'Main Amitabh Bachchan Bol Raha Hoon'? Startled, astonished and of course pleasantly surprised. These are the set of emotions that Deepika Padukone too went through on her first day of shoot for AARAKSHAN.

Informs a unit member, "Amitabh Bachchan was already in Bhopal with Prakash Jha and had started shooting for the film. On the other hand Deepika was required a few days later. When she landed on the location, a classroom, she was unaware that Big B was also present there. There were many students in the room and Deepika was basically hunting for Jha.'

So while Deepika went through her 'hi-hello' routine with other crew members and later indulged in some small talk with her director, suddenly she heard a voice from behind which sounded way too familiar to be ignored.

"It was Amitabh Bachchan himself who called out for Deepika,' the unit member continues, "In his characteristic manner, he said 'Hi Deepika, Good Morning' that was startling enough for her. Even before she could actually resume her composure and come out of her embarrassment of having missed Bachchan's presence in the room, he went a step ahead and introduced himself. That was enough for Deepika to look for cover.'

Deepika confirms the incident, 'To see Mr. Bachchan out there interacting with dozens of real life students and then coming forward to say hello to me is something I can never forget.'
