Riteish: DOUBLE DHAMAAL isn't for intellectuals

Riteish Deshmukh would next be seen in DOUBLE DHAMAAL while he would be also kick starting the shoot of another comedy HOUSEFULL 2. While the actor with a strong sense of comedy is sure that it would be only comic outings for some time to come at the least, such strong stand is pretty justified. After all he has done a serious film (RANN), a romantic flick (JAANE KAHAN SE AAYI HAI) and a fantasy drama (ALADIN) in the recent past, none of which did too well at the box office.

However he has found his bearings in comic outings like HOUSEFULL, HEYY BABYY, KYA KOOL HAI HUM, MASTI, APNA SAPNA MONEY MONEY and not to forget, DHAMAAL. Seamless mindless comic outings are the 'in' thing for him today, what with his upcoming repertoire of films reading of as many as three comic sequels - DOUBLE DHAMAAL, HOUSEFULL 2 and KYA KOOL HAI HUM 2.

'Not that I haven't done a 'cerebral comedy', if you could put it that way,' quips Riteish, 'BLUFFMASTER required you to be attentive and it had that cool humour to it. However DOUBLE DHAMAAL is none of that. It is slapstick, goofy and slightly over the top comedy. We are all loud here and all set to create some 'kamaal dhamaal'. You would be seeing a lot of 'masti' on screen.'

Guess here is someone who is pretty much unabashed and unapologetic when it comes to doing out and out comedies.

'We have pretty much conveyed through the promos that it is one loud and full of 'masti' film,' continues Riteish, 'This is a mindless gag oriented physical comedy that we have come up with. If you really want to be intellectually challenged with your intelligence being put to test then DOUBLE DHAMAAL is not the film for you.'

Directed by Indra Kumar, DOUBLE DHAMAAL releases all over on 24th June.
