Riteish: DOUBLE DHAMAAL is spiced up

One can't deny the fact that there are a lot of expectations from DOUBLE DHAMAAL due to it being a franchise. While it is certainly expected that all four principal protagonists (Riteish, Arshad, Javed, Ashish) coordinate well to make the scene look seamless, audience is also looking forward to the film giving 'double the entertainment'.

"I think now all four of us are pretty much in synch in each other," says Riteish, "We all have started thinking alike. I don't think now we would look like four actors just doing our job. We behave pretty much alike and are more like one actor in four different bodies."

For the uninitiated, DHAMAAL was about four simpletons who come across a treasure worth 10 crores. Though the film ends with the money going to charity, the truth is something else, as revealed in DOUBLE DHAMAAL, with Sanjay Dutt actually keeping all the booty to himself. Once the quartet gets to know about this, it chases down Dutt in a hilarious roller coaster ride.

"Well, for starters we would be showing a quick recap of the first part so that for all audiences, whether those who have seen DHAMAAL or haven't, the basic plot and characters are re-established. Then we would be starting from exactly the same point where we ended," informs Riteish, "As for the film being double the entertainer then I can confidently say that the writer and the director have done a terrific job in not just taking the story forward but also spicing it up further so that audience expectations are met. Overall too, the film is looking much bigger and better. Induji (Indra Kumar) has ensured that we take forward the 'dhamaal' element in a big way."

Also starring Mallika Sherawat, Kangna Ranaut and Satish Kaushik in key roles, DOUBLE DHAMAAL has music and lyrics by Anand Raj Anand and releases all over on 24th June.
