No more experiments for Priyanka Chopra

With 7 KHOON MAAF not really working with the audience, the fact remains that Priyanka Chopra too must indeed be swearing off experimental cinema for a while now. She has enjoyed all the acclaim coming her way for being an actor par excellence, now even she would be looking at box office doing a lot more talking.

"That should indeed be the way going forward for Priyanka", comments an industry observer, "In fact she too seems to have planned it all well. After all there are popular outings like DON 2, DOSTANA 2, KRRISH 2 and BARFEE to look forward to which means she doesn't really have to worry much about her commercial standing."

One wonders though how would plans materialise for Vishal-Priyanka collaboration from here on. After all Priyanka had fast become Vishal's favourite what with the director pretty much admitting that she was the best actress he had worked with (even though he had worked with other top names like Kareena Kapoor (OMKARA), Tabu (MAQBOOL) and Shabana Azmi (MAKDEE) in the past). His affection for Priyanka's talent could be seen in the way that after casting her in KAMINEY, he repeated her by designing an entire film around her (7 KHOON MAAF).

"Well, all such statements were made during the promotion of '7 Khoon Maaf'", continues the insider, "Yes, Priyanka has indeed done quite well in the film and deserves all the appreciation. But then the fact remains that the film hasn't done well commercially and audience have steered clear of it."

Guess it would be some time before one sees some experimental cinema again with the director-actor jodi.
