Shahana: In GAME every character is well etched out

Just like Shahana's earlier hit ROCK ON, GAME too is one of those films where there is no hero or heroine but boasts of a set of characters brought together. Since GAME also features Sarah Jane Dias, Kangna Ranaut and Jimmy Shergill as the other key protagonists other than Abhishek Bachchan, one rightly believes that it must have been an enticing set up for Shahana Goswami.

"Working in an ensemble cast is always great. In case of GAME it works all the more better as every character is so well etched out. Also, they are no paper characters here as their role in the film is so crucial", says Shahana who plays a journalist out in GAME, "It is this shouldering of responsibilities that makes it amazing to be on such projects. Of course you also get to spend time with so many different talented actors as well."

She has been a part of another ensemble affair earlier called FIRAAQ though it was more episodic in feel with multiple stories running in parallel. However in case of GAME multiple strangers are together right from start to finish though they are unknowingly tied to each other.

"Yes this is indeed the case," smiles Shahana, "Like I said, the structure of the story is such that each character is well defined and indispensable."

However in an ensemble affair like this, one expects all protagonists to be getting an equal opportunity. In this way, how fair has this 'game' been for Shahana, pun intended?

"Yes, we all have equal opportunities," admits Shahana, "Some characters may seem more interesting than the others but that's more a subjective matter. In the film, we're all equal."

Well Shahana, we would know once GAME hits the screens this Friday.
