Nikhil Dwivedi never got a chance to romance!

Nikhil Dwivedi is certainly riding high these days and the reason is that amongst the bunched releases, his latest film, the Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru directed film, SHOR - IN THE CITY, has garnered much praise not only from the critics but also from the metro audience. And he has stood tall amongst quite a few established actors and is receiving unanimous acclaim and accolades for his realistic portrayal of a typical time waster who throngs the streets of Mumbai looking to make a quick buck.

Without doubt his debut film, MY NAME IS ANTHONY GONSALVES, promised much but delivered nothing for Nikhil and he had to fight it out to make a name for himself in the industry. Things certainly got brighter with RAAVAN last year as even though the film tanked but Nikhil managed to make his mark amongst seasoned actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Govinda to name a few.

While he essayed the role of a police officer in RAAVAN, he is a petty criminal in SHOR IN THE CITY and so when he was queried as to whether he would be doing any romantic roles, Nikhil replied that he has been unfortunate that after his debut film, he did not get a chance to romance as both his films had no scope for romance. He is quick to add that he would love to do a romantic film if he is offered such a role.

Well, we hope that the filmmakers are listening!
