Bollywood horror show in May-June

For all the patrons of spine-chilling horror films, the hot months of May and June would definitely provide a festive bonanza as some most anticipated horror flicks from well known directors and banners are about to release one after the other.

First to release will be Vikram Bhatt's 3D horror flick, HAUNTED 3D starring Mahakshay Chakraborty, Tina Bajpai, Arif Zakaria and Mohan Kapoor. The promos of the film have already raised expectations and it's melodious music which is already getting quite popular should help the film get a decent opening when the film releases all over this Friday, that is 6th May.

Just a week after the release of HAUNTED 3D, audience will be treated to another horror film, albeit 'zara hat ke' as Balaji's much publicized RAGINI MMS hits the screen. The use of modern technology like MMS in creating a fear psychosis amongst the viewers is quite novel and will definitely appeal to the youth and the way soap queen, Ekta Kapoor, has been promoting the film, especially in her daily soaps on television should help it's cause when the film releases on 13th May all over.

The very next week that is 20th May one can also check out Imagik Movie Pictures Prawal Raman directed 404, and the tag line - Psych your mind, gives enough clues about the genre!

For all those who thought that the horror show will end here are wrong as the month of June would witness another horror flick SHAITAN. The film marks the directorial debut of Bejoy Nambiar, who earlier assisted director Mani Ratnam in GURU and RAAVAN. Produced by Anurag Kashyap and co-produced by Tipping Point Films, SHAITAN starring Rajeev Khandelwal (AAMIR fame), Kalki Kochlein, Neil Bhoopalam (LSD fame), Shiv Pandit, Kirti Kulhari and Gulshan Devaiah. SHAITAN hits the theatres on 10th June, 2011.
