Why no one is interfering with this 3D JOKER?

It is a known fact that JOKER is being made in 3D. Incorporating this technology in a surreal setting (the film has an alien angle to it) also meant that Shirish was not bothered by any interference whatsoever from other members of cast and crew when it came to canning the shots.

'Yes, you could say that,' laughs Shirish, 'Not just the technology and setting (on the lines of ALICE IN WONDERLAND) but even the genre of the film is so different that agar koyi chahe bhi toh kuch suggestion nahi de sakta. If it was a regular genre like a romcom or a comedy or a drama or an action flick then it can still be expected for experienced people to share their thoughts. But when you are making something totally new that has never been made before in India, it turns out to be new for all involved. This is when you have to eventually leave it in the hands of a director to call the shots.'

Since Shirish has been talking about the genre as well as 3D technology that has enabled him to stay away from the routine and create something altogether different, he surely must have been challenged by the element of the unknown, isn't it?

'Well yes, shooting a film in 3D does make a huge difference to the shot taking,' agrees Shirish, 'You have to be very cautious of the depth of the field. Also you need to have a big scale to shoot every single shot because you can't just put someone in front of a wall and take its close up. If you do that, it just won't get you the desired results.'

Starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Shreyas Talpade and Minissha Lamba, principal shoot of JOKER is expected to wrap up by September.
