Ritesh: Charges of ZNMD being a lift were uncalled for

The moment ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA starring Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin film was announced as the story of boys who go on a road trip to celebrate the impending marriage of one of them; there were tongues that start wagging around it bearing the same plotline as THE HANGOVER. Now that the film's promo is out, one can confidently state that this Zoya Akhtar directed fare has absolutely nothing to do with THE HANGOVER

"Well, all I can say is that the charges of ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA being a lift were uncalled for," says producer Ritesh Sidhwani, "The Hollywood flick was about a night of debauchery for those men out there and how they lose their memory after being stone drunk. Sorry, but our men out here are far more insane, haven't lost their memory and indulge in some adventure sports."

Two such sports activities shown in the film are around scuba diving and sky diving. Of course the drunken acts are totally conspicuous by their absence, hence reaffirming yet again that there is no influence whatsoever from THE HANGOVER.

"There are some more sports activities out there but for that you would have to wait for the film. And no, there isn't any bull fight that you would see in the film. We were just smiling away even as these rumours were making the rounds", continues Ritesh.

After a few round of delays, ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA would eventually be hitting the screens on 15th July.
