Love and 'pyar' Titles: The new success 'mantra'!

It all started a couple of weeks back weeks back with Yash Raj's (Y-Films) first offering, LUV KA THE END, and if we take a look at films releasing (or released ) during the remaining weeks of May and June we will find that quite a few of them have the word love or it's Hindi counterpart 'pyar' in it's title. And this despite the fact that it's more than nine months for Valentine Day!

The very next week saw the release of Rajshri Productions LOVE U MR. KALAKAAR!, and if that was not enough last Friday saw the release of another film, PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA, followed by KUCCH LUV JAISAA this week. And that is not the end of the story as we have another film, A STRANGE LOVE STORY, releasing in the first week of June.

From the above mentioned titles it appears that Bollywood filmmakers have reposed their faith in the tried and tested formula of romance and love stories but seeing the way the two films, LUV KA THE END and LOVE U....MR. KALAKKAR have performed at the ticket window we are a bit apprehensive for the rest of the films releasing.

However PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA and KUCCH LUV JAISAA are looking very interesting as can be gauged from the positive response to the first film and to the promos of the second, and so we can keep our fingers crossed and hope that the two deliver and the word love/'pyar' becomes the new mantra for Bollywood success!
