Zoa Morani bags Shyam Benegal's next

Zoa Morani may have debuted with Shahrukh Khan's ALWAYS KABHI KABHI (which was a dud at Box-office), but it seems her real innings in Bollywood will kickstart with the award winning director Shyam Benegal. As the veteran director has roped in the fiery actor in his new film.

Benegal spotted the talent in the young actress and immediately signed her on for his next project.

Shyam Benegal is a dream director for any actor and Zoa getting a chance to work with him so early in her career is quite exciting.

Says a source close to the actor, "Zoa Morani has been busy shuttling between Delhi and Mumbai over the last few months, between home and work."

However, after hearing from Shyam Benegal, the actress seems to have changed her mind. "Around 3 weeks back, Mr. Benegal narrated the script to Zoa. He also called her to Mumbai for a screen test, which convinced Benegal that Zoa would be able to pull off the female lead role in the film. She will sign the dotted line soon," revealed a source close to the project in question.

Shyam Benegal was unavailable for comment.
