Chitrangada is not the one for film on R.D. Burman

If Chitrangada is really hassled with constant prodding around her current status in the film titled 'R.D', which is said to be based on the life of legendary composer R.D. Burman, she is doing a rather good job of not showing it on her face. However the clear message that she is clearly passing now conveys - 'enough'!

"Chitrangada is really sick and tired of clarifying her stand on 'R.D'. She was never a part of the film to begin with and she has no clue from where did it all began. For the records, there hasn't even been one formal conversation around her being a part of the film, leave aside her choosing to accept or reject the offer. Hopefully that would stop idle tongues from wagging now. At least for her there is no project like 'R.D.' happening now and that's final," says a close associate of the actress who was quite vociferous in clarifying the actress' stand.

Rumours started a few months back soon after the success of CHALO DILLI when the film's co-producers EROS and the lead actor Vinay Pathak were kicked about reuniting and making a film on R.D. Burman. Though the production house had refrained from admitting that the film was based on the life of Pancham and merely said that it told the story of a great composer, the title 'R.D.' was a clincher.

"Chitrangada just happened to have stepped into a conversation in this regard during some other screening and acknowledged that the film on this subject really sounded good," the associate continues, "The next thing she knew was that media was talking about her doing the film. That's unfair because such discussions happen all the time. A fleeting conversation at an informal event doesn't translate into actors being confirmed for a film."

However the rumours didn't stop here as next to follow was talk around her fitment in 'R.D.'. Resultantly it was almost declared that she would be playing the part of Asha Bhonsle in the film.

"Can you believe that," says Chitrangda animatedly, "All I said was that the film looked like a great idea since R.D. Burman was a legend, that's it. There was nothing more than that. I don't know how the rest of the stories started floating around. For the record, I am not doing the film and that's final."
