Nana Patekar: Prakash Jha has become stale

While talking to a select group of reporters at IFFI, Goa, Nana Patekar said that he won't like to work in Prakash Jha's film because the director has become stale and has been moving in a rut of films with political backdrop. He was referring to the kinds of films Prakash Jha has been making since the past few years. Nana also added that in case Jha comes up with fresh film ideas he won't mind working with him again.

On being asked as to why Indian films don't win Oscar awards he said that the Indian obsession with Oscars is ridiculous. He also feels that Bollywood's film awards have very little credibility.

Nana attended the screening of his latest film SHAGIRD along with the film's director Tigmanshu Dhulia and its producer. Nana plays a corrupt cop in the film. Incidentally, SHAGIRD is a film about corrupt cops and it also has a political backdrop.
