Reema, not Aamir in control of TALAASH

Whether it was DELHI BELLY, DHOBI GHAT or PEEPLI [LIVE], Aamir was in total control in each of his last few films even though he didn't direct them. He was so much attached to these films that willingly delayed their release till he was fully satisfied with the final product. This makes one wonder whether second timer Reema Kagti would have to face a similar music as well for her TALAASH. However if sources are to be believed, the female director has left the perfectionist Khan so impressed that there is no requirement whatsoever for 'interference' of any kind.

''This is one film where Aamir didn't have to get involved at all beyond the capacity of an actor. Of course it is a rarity but then it's a fact,' says a senior crew member, 'Once Reema had explained the film's script to him and he understood the character and the overall narrative well, he went ahead as per Reema's vision. He was totally convinced about her art of storytelling and was heard telling Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani (the film's producers) that Reema really knows the drill. The whole shoot went peacefully with neither Aamir nor Reema feeling any kind of discomfort in each other's presence.''

Still, one does wonder how comfortable it would have been for Reema to direct TALAASH, considering the fact that Farhan as well as Aamir have been directors themselves.

Laughs Ritesh, ''No Aamir, Farhan or I can take over her from Reema. Have you interacted with her in much detail? Do that and you would realise that she is a very strong minded person. You can't start dictating terms to her once you have signed up to come on board. She was the woman for the job. Period.''
