Ram Sampath to compose for Ekta's ROCK THE SHAADI

Ram Sampath best known for his 'Switty Switty' punjabi music act from the hit caper comedy DELHI BELLY is now all set to recreate the magic again with ROCK THE SHAADI.

One of the reasons that DELHI BELLY was its versatile and hit music.

Apparently, post the success of DELHI BELLY, the very talented musician was offered almost as many as 11 films but Ram chose to go with ROCK THE SHAADI as the plot of the film fascinated him to the core.

This would be first time Ram Sampath would enter the arena of Punjabi wedding. ROCK THE SHAADI revolves a fun punjabi wedding and 60 to 70 percent of the film is a large punjabi wedding. After creating a masterpiece of his own kind, he will be tuning some funky music.

Ram Sampath says, "In DELHI BELLY initially I was to create on one song and as we went along we created so many. Of varied genres. Here, Ekta Kapoor wants to create music that it is funky and unusual. I am excited."

ROCK THE SHAADI is a crazy comedy. Here Abhay Deol will be seen opposite Genelia D'Souza for the first time. It is being produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Navdeep Singh of the MANORAMA fame. The film goes on floors soon and is expected to release next year.
