Taking a cue from Hrithik Roshan, Arjun Rampal, Akshay Kumar,Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan and many more actors who have got a tattoo done for their spouse, family or better still even beaus, we also had newlywed - Vivek Oberoi going in for a tattoo on his last holiday with wifey dearest in Bali. The much smitten Vivek is obviously leaving no stone unturned to display his love for his better half. Seen together at events, cricket matches and parties, Vivek and his wife Priyanka sure are a much in love newlywed couple, as both have got tattoos inked for each other.

Previously, we have seen Hrithik get his wife's name inked permanently for a tattoo, besides a Solomon's seal symbol on his wrist. While cuteness personified - Akshay and Arjun got their respective kid's name tattooed on their arms. Arjun has got the names of his daughters on both his arms while Akshay has got son Aarav's name etched on his back. On the other hand, the ever so-smitten beaus /husbands Saif, Sanjay Dutt got their lady love's Kareena -Manyaata's name respectively impressioned on their arms. Saif is seen sporting Kareena in devanagari script while Sanju has another portrait of Lord Shiva on his upper arm.
We did have a wee bit self obsessed SRK with his 'D' aka Don tattoo, while Deepika sports 'DP' on her ankle alongside her 'RK' tattoo at the back of her neck which has been given a twist sporting a cool 'TMK'. We also have a host of religious yet bold celebrities from B town who have got interesting symbols done on their body. The ever-adventurous Esha Deol has got a Gayatri mantra and an 'Om' drawn on her shoulder blades. The usually reticent Ajay Devgn has got a 'Shiva' and 'Om' tattoo done on his chest. The bold and beautiful Mandira Bedi has a Tibetan Om tattoo on her lower waist besides 'Ek Onkar' the traditional Sikh tattoo as well.
Yummy mummy Amrita Arora Ladak has a tattoo saying 'Love saves the day' at the nape of her neck whereas elder sister Malaika Arora Khan has a tattoo on her lower back that reads 'Angel'. Even the ever so elegant and daring actress Sushmita Sen has been sporting a dagger tattoo on her arm for eons now. She dons a Latin term 'Soli deo glory', which means- glory to god alone. Besides, another tattoo on her right arm spells 'Temptation' and the Tis written with a symbol of a dagger.
The fun loving heart throb Imran Khan sports a sun-shaped tattoo on his nape. The rock chick from south Shruti Hassan has a south Indian name tattooed on her upper back. Now we hear, Katrina Kaif, Abhay Deol, Kangna Ranaut and a host of other stars are contemplating and raring to get inked for life! Other Bollywood celebrities who have got inked include, Salman Khan, Sushmita Sen, Suniel Shetty, John Abraham, Rakhi Sawant, and Upen Patel to name a few.
With celebs donning designer garbs, a fashionable or fun tattoo in place, adds to the oomph. Well clearly, pain is immaterial, guess it is the joy and fulfillment one gets with the impression of their loved one on their body. However, edgy, funny or funky element in tattoos not only spell fashion but also tell us a lot about the personality of the wearer. With much inspiration from Hollywood our very own Bollywood bombshells and dudes have redefined it here in India and are happily jumping into the tattoo bandwagon! Way to go Bollywood-iites!
