Akshay Kumar back in his KHILADI avatar

From a long time we were missing to see the original action hero of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar in his KHILADI avatar. But not any more. As the macho actor returns to what he is known for best. Akshay, who rose to stardom and throughout 90's was known for his Khiladi series, is back with yet another film with the name KHILADI in it.

Yes, the upcoming film KHILADI 786 - Made in Punjab stars superstar Akshay Kumar. The film also stars multi-faceted Himesh Reshammiya. This is the first time Akshay Kumar has teamed up with composer-singer-actor Himesh Reshammiya. Himesh, who loves to be jack-of-all-the-trades, this time has taken the reigns of writing. He has penned the story of the film.

The action comedy is being directed by Ashiah Mohan, who has been assistant to filmmaker Rohit Shetty, and produced by Eros International along with Akshay's Hari Om and HR Musik.

The first poster of the film is out with Akshay Kumar in a very quirky look. KHILADI 786 will mark Akshay Kumar's comeback to the Khiladi genre. His last Khiladi film was KHILADI 420 in 2000.

The film is scheduled to release in Diwali 2012.
