RA.ONE scorches the box-office, biggest single & three day!

The opening of Shah Rukh Khan's RA.ONE was expected to be earth shattering and that is how it was. The evening and night shows were obviously hit by 'Diwali' Puja and celebrations, still the film netted 15 crore from India surpassing the likes of 3 IDIOTS, DABANGG and READY but could not match the 21 crore Eid day collection of BODYGUARD. Additionally the dubbed versions managed another 3.50 crore.
Unfortunately a section of the broadcast and web media scoffed at the first day numbers not realizing that it's the second best opening day and the best 'Diwali' day collection ever!
However the best was still to come and Thursday saw collections of the Anubhav Sinha directed RA.ONE hitting the roof netting in excess of 23 crore, which is the best ever single day total in the history of Bollywood box-office. And if we add the contributions of the dubbed versions the figure creeps past 25 crore!

As per early estimates the third day again has again been bountiful. Though morning shows were affected due to Bhai Dooj, the film came into its own by afternoon recording bumper collections. Adding the third day numbers the total may well be in the range of a record breaking 54-55 crore, even after excluding the dubbed versions.
With the bumper overseas collections still to be disclosed (first day gross 10 crore), RA.ONE is on way to sure shot success, how big or small is the question!
