When Vipul Shah's FORCE came along, John jumped at the offer that would fully exploit his signature brawny image in the out-and-out action film.
So excited was John about the film that he took 2 months off to get under the skin of his character, to play ACP Yashvardhan, a tough narcotics officer who doesn't play by the book. Apart from researching on the subject of drug dealing, the locations that these activities take place, and how the system functions, John even met with a senior narcotics officer who inspired him to play the role to the T.
Says a source, 'As soon as the offer for FORCE came his way John was kicked about the film from day one. To prepare for his role he wanted to see how things function and the training people go through to tackle these issues. He met with an ACP who gave him insight on his experiences with tackling with drug dealing.'
Confirms John Abraham, 'I took some time out to see how things function at the core of the system. In the process I've also met some interesting people whose work is truly inspiring.'
