Mahakshay in cop drama ENEMY

What's common between Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt? Well, each of the three experiences heroes would be turning cops in 2012 with DHUAAAN, ROWDY RATHORE and DEPARTMENT. However they won't be alone as a few newbie would be trying their luck as well. One of them is Mahakshay Chakravorty who be donning the uniform in action drama that has been titled ENEMY.

"Playing a cop is the in thing and Mahakshay too wanted to step into this zone early in his career," says a friend of the actor, "After seeing a clean hit in the form of HAUNTED earlier this year, Mahakshay was offered quite a few films belonging to the horror/supernatural/paranormal genre. However he didn't want to get slotted. Hence when a cop drama came his way, he was more than happy to give his nod of approval. He has already signed on the dotted line and would begin shooting this December."

Mahakshay won't be the only male lead in ENEMY though which is basically a two-hero project. While name of the second hero would be revealed soon, our source informs that there would be three other important characters in the film, all of whom would be cops. The film would be directed by Ashu Trikha.

When contacted, Mahakshay was a little surprised about the revelation. Though he was hesitant to share many details, he said, "Yes, this is an out and out cop drama and I am one of the principal protagonists. The script is really powerful and allows me to get into a zone different from that of HAUNTED or LOOT . Beyond that, I would want Ashu sir to talk about the film."
