Deepika, Jacqueline, Ameesha to perform action in RACE 2

When Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Sameera Reddy were assembled for RACE, they did add on to the glamorous and sensuality quotient but left action to their male counterparts. However Abbas-Mustan have different ideas when it comes to the film's sequel. This time around the ladies have much bigger role to play. So while Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel would be seen in their stylish avatars, they would also have to pull up the ante by indulging in some hardcore action.

'In fact the script has good space for quite some action, which is expected from RACE 2. Stakes are much higher with RACE 2 and Abbas-Mustan want to make sure that action isn't restricted to just Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham and Anil Kapoor,' says a source attached to the film.

In fact so charged up are the makers about the action in the film that quite an altogether different kind of action is being devised for the sequel. 'Mark my words, the action here would be something that is completely unseen of or even unheard of in India,' says Jacqueline, ''There is a new kind of action being introduced in the film.''

Apparently, Abbas-Mustan wanted to go beyond the mandatory punches and kicks that one sees from the leading ladies and have taken a few steps ahead. While cable driven action is still there, it would be unique as this technology has become passE and need of the hour is to bring on something that bridges the gap between Bollywood and Hollywood.

''Yes, the action is far more stylised and classy. In fact it is almost akin to choreographed dance moves,'' a prominent crew member adds, ''These girls are just getting a hang of it but there are quite a few challenges ahead of them. After PLAYERS, Abbas-Mustan are now making it doubly sure that RACE 2 exceeds all expectations and presents three ladies in a much bigger way than eye candies.''
