Akshay, Emraan, Karisma, Big B to battle it out this summer

This summer is going to be special with half a dozen biggies fighting it out with each other at the box office. The films in question are ROWDY RATHORE, JANNAT 2, DANGEROUS ISHHQ, DEPARTMENT, SHANGHAI and TERI MERI KAHAANI, each of which is a biggie in its own right, boasts of prestigious names, has good hype surrounding it ever since its release and has now invoked positive reactions from those who have checked out the promos.

''ROWDY RATHORE is as 'masala' as it gets and Akshay Kumar is all set to make it really huge with this action entertainer. His dialogues and action are going to be the highlight here. Emraan Hashmi's loyal fan-base is bound to lap up JANNAT 2 and since it is a franchise product, it is already safe at the box office. Moreover, his SHANGHAI is hugely massy as well and with Abhay Deol in the cast, there is further credibility added to it,'' an industry veteran comments.

Meanwhile it is clear that Ram Gopal Varma has returned to great form with DEPARTMENT and audience is already looking forward to Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt face off. Also, first look of Vikram Bhatt's DANGEROUS ISHHQ has given an impression that Karisma Kapoor had never left the film industry. Since the film is in 3D, enhanced footfalls are pretty much on the cards.

''Moreover, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are all set to bounce back with TERI MERI KAHAANI,' the veteran adds, 'With the film, Shahid is looking forward to erase the debacle of MAUSAM. Ditto for Priyanka Chopra who could well be hoping that an author backed role here makes all negative publicity around her disappear. TERI MERI KAHAANI looks like a good crowd friendly money spinner in the making and trade is hopeful that it would make its presence felt this summer.''

With ISHAQZAADE and FERRARI KI SAWAARI all set to join the party, it is going to be one summer to watch out for!
