Shahrukh Khan in legal trouble for smoking in Jaipur stadium

Superstar Shahrukh Khan has landed in trouble for smoking inside Sawai Man Singh stadium in Jaipur on Sunday during the cricket match of his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders.

Anand Singh Rathore, the director of Jaipur Cricket Academy has moved to the court and a complaint has been filed against Shahrukh for smoking during the cricket match, during the match.

''Smoking publicly is banned in Rajasthan since 2000. However, Shah Rukh Khan was smoking publicly in front of thousands of spectators. The actor was broadcast live while smoking on the TV channel, which was showing the match,'' Rathore's lawyer Nem Singh Rathore said.

''The police was confiscating any objectionable items, including cigarettes while frisking. However, it seems Shah Rukh was allowed to carry the cigarette packet into the stadium, which is negligence on part of the police also,'' he said.

The complaint was submitted to the court of the additional chief judicial magistrate, and the case will be heard on April 12.
