When brother didn't favour sister Amita for BITTOO BOSS

While the fact is that BITTOO BOSS is making good buzz for itself, what is unknown is that despite being the sister of film's producer Abhishek Pathak, Amita wasn't an outright choice for the film. After all, Abhishek had roped in three other girls for his debut film PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA as well while her father Kumar Mangat Pathak, a prolific producer himself, hadn't played favourites with Amita either despite making so many films.

"Exactly," smiles Amita, "In fact when they started conceptualising the film, I was nowhere on the radar. We used to have discussions around the film at home but the cast hadn't been finalised. Then they just told me one day about me being a probable candidate. Of course I was happy but then stepping into my own home production wasn't all that easy."

Resultantly, Amita had to go through quite a few auditions and only after director Babul was convinced that she was right for the part was she roped in. Moreover, she didn't even have any say in her leading man being Pulkit Samrat, an absolute newcomer himself.

"The best part is that Pulkit and I didn't even audition together. We did it with other actors," she says, "Yes, both of us knew each other but it was only after a while that Babul sir took some pictures of us together to see if we looked good with each other. We were still not sure whether we would be selected or not but after that when a full-fledged photo shoot took place, Pulkit and I were finalised."

She smiles, "In fact when we got a call to the office and were informed about the selection, we had a mini celebration of sorts with 'laddoos' and 'pedhas' distribution."

Hope it is time for Pathak family to celebrate again once BITTOO BOSS hits the screens this Friday.
