Veena Malik is the new Silk Smitha!

Controversial babe Veena Malik has been reportedly signed to play the role of Silk Smitha. According to the media reports, the actress has been roped in by South Indian filmmaker Venkatappa for his next project titled DIRTY PICTURE: SILK SAKKATH MAGA.

The starlet tweeted on the social networking site, "Super excited to be the part of south film industry.....just signed "THE DIRTY PICTURE".....!!!"

The film will be directed by Trishul and produced by Venkatappa. Moreover, Venkatappa's son Akshay will be paired opposite Veena in the film.

Media reports also claim that the film is not the remake of Vidya Balan starrer THE DIRTY PICTURE but an original script.
