Paoli credits Vivek and Vikram for HATE STORY success

HATE STORY has emerged as a success and one major factor that has ensured is its single point of agenda of shocking and titillating audience. The actress who made this possible is Paoli Dam but the men whom she wants to credit for her holds-no-bar show is her director Vivek Agnihotri and producer Vikram Bhatt, both of whom ensured that she wasn't presented as a B-Grade actress.

"As is a known fact now, HATE STORY has countless love making scenes with unabashed nudity," says a source close to Paoli, "Also, there are situations where Paoli places herself as a lady on top and takes her man for a ride (well, literally). There are also sequences where sex games are played between her and the partners. This isn't all as her character desires to be the 'top slut' in the town, which means holds-no bar approach has been followed in terms of explicit content. None of this would have been possible if Vivek and Vikram wouldn't have got it right."

Add to that the fact that there is an overdose of cuss filled language in the film with four letter words being a norm than an exception. However Paoli, who has already made waves internationally with her 'I-am-not-coy-about-sex' approach, was in no mood to hold her back for anything.

"Vivek is always known for setting expectations right with his actresses when it comes to exposing for camera. He was the one who had groomed and launched Tanushree Dutta when she was fresh out of her Miss India stint. There was skin show involved in CHOCOLATE as well and Vivek understood that there has to be a good rapport build with an actress before such scenes are shot. In fact it is due to this reason that he ensures his wife (and actress) Pallavi Joshi continuously interacts with his actresses so that a certain feminine quotient is maintained."

The source adds, "Vikram is fiercely protective about his actresses and though in his last film LANKA there were talks of Tia Bajpayee not being quite happy about some of her bold scenes, the issue never took gigantic proportions. Even otherwise in his HAUNTED where Tia had starred as a rape victim, he had ensured that all of it looked repulsive instead of titillating. Also, even in his horror films like 1920 and SHAAPIT, he had ensured that his heroines like Adah Sharma and Shweta Agarwal were presented well. He assured Paoli that she wouldn't feel uncomfortable on the sets due to exposure involved."
