Is Deepika Illuminati and Saif's lucky mascot?

Actor Saif Ali Khan and his home banner Illuminati Films' last clean hit, LOVE AAJ KAL, was way back in 2009.

In fact it remained Saif's biggest solo hit (netting 65 crores), till very recently! The film also rocked the overseas grossing $2,425,386 from US and £1,033,767 from UK.

The next venture from Illuminati Films, AGENT VINOD, which released earlier this year, had its fair set of admirers and managed a decent haul at the ticket window, but was not a commercial success.

Fortunately, Saif and Illuminati Films soon managed another clean hit, COCKTAIL, which is all set to end up netting in the range of 78- 80 crores from India.

What is interesting to note is that Deepika Padukone featured in both LOVE AAJ KAL and COCKTAIL, and there is no doubt that she is the lucky mascot for both Saif and his home banner, Illuminati Films. Both the mentioned films (especially LOVE AAJ KAL), also managed a good run in the overseas.
