One of India's premier production house, Dharma Productions, has been instrumental in providing full family entertainers and has more often than not delivered super hit films under the able guidance of producer-director Karan Johar. And one of its film that has been making news ever since the announcement is, STUDENT OF THE YEAR.

SOTY is a big canvas film and is lavishly mounted even though there are no major stars but rank newcomers, these three actors appear to be star material as can be gauged from the trailer, and are very confident and camera friendly. Moreover the film is targeted at the youth which forms a major chunk of the paying audience and has a strong nostalgic aura about it as it is campus based very much like Karan's debut film, the all-time blockbuster hit KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI. The Karan Johar directed Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra starrer, STUDENT OF THE YEAR, is all set to hit the screens on 19th October 2012.
