Ashok Kumar's daughter and actor Preeti Ganguly passes away

Lengendry actor Ashok Kumar's daughter and singer-actor-director Kishore Kumar's niece, Preeti Ganguly, who appeared in several films as supporting actor and comedienne passed away on 2nd December.

The 59 year old made her acting debut with film DHUEN KI LAKEER in 1974. She was also seen in movies like BALIKA BADHU. The talented actress will be best remembered most for her role in Basu Chatterjee's KHATTA MEETHA which also starred her father in the film. Preeti's other films include GINNY AUR JOHNNY, LAILA MAJNU, THODI SI BEWAFAI, etc.

Preeti Ganguly was last screen appearance was in the Emraan Hashmi- Tanushree Dutta starrer film AASHIQ BANAYA AAPNE in 2005.

We give our condolence to Preeti's family and may her soul rest in peace.
