Will Sonakshi star in Akshay's THUPAKKI remake?

That Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is pushing Sonakshi Sinha ahead and recommending her name everywhere is now quite evident. If the latest reports are to be believed then Sonakshi is being strongly considered as Akshay's leading lady in A.R Murugadoss' THUPAKKI remake, which will be his second Hindi movie post GHAJINI.

Initially reports were rife that ISHAQZAADE fame Parineeti Chopra, cousin of Priyanka Chopra, is being finalised to star opposite Akshay Kumar. In fact there were even speculations about Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Asin and Diana Penty to play the coveted role. However, it seems Sonakshi will walkaway with the desired role as Sonakshi and Akki share great rapport. The duo have worked together back-to-back in two films ROWDY RATHORE and JOKER and now they are gearing up for yet another film ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI AGAIN, sequel to ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI. Akki even offered her a special appearance in his film OMG OH MY GOD!.

So, Sona was quite hopeful that Akki would fulfill her commitment of starring in one of his biggest films. So when Murugadoss was in the search of an appropriate leading lady, Sonakshi's name came up.

It is being said that Akshay will be seen as an Army officer in the film.

Well, it looks like after Katrina its Sonakshi's turn to form a good pair with Khiladi Kumar!
