Akshay-Asin's KHILADI 786 posts a healthy weekend!

After a mixed opening (good to bumper at the single screens of the Hindi belt) day of about 9 crore, Ashish R. Mohan's Akshay-Asin starrer, KHILADI 786, saw a noticeable appreciation on Saturday and a good pick up on Sunday.

During the opening weekend KHILADI 786 has netted around 32crore from India, very much within our predicted range (30-35 crore), with collections coming predominantly from the single screens, though Sunday saw a good turnout at some of the non-performing multiplexes of Delhi- NCR and East Punjab.

CHECK OUT: Box-office - KHILADI 786 is good to ordinary; TALAASH stutters!

As things stand, KHILADI 786, which has quite a reasonable release cost (40-45 crore), for an Akshay Kumar starrer, is all set to be a plus fare for the makers, who are also the worldwide distributors (barring a few sub circuits), though not the big success that it was expected to be.

While still on KHILADI 786, the film has not done well in the overseas, and little chance that it will, given the genre and mountings!
