Rajinikanth turns 62; fans celebrate his birthday

Superstar Rajinikanth, who has entertained his fans with his powerful acting, turned 62 on Wednesday. The talented actor is the most admired, adored star and his fans follow him religiously. He is almost a mythical name in the industry. As per reports, the star's fan club has organised various activities like blood donation, charity, pooja's, etc to celebrate his birthday.

He made his debut as an actor in the National winning Tamil film APOORVA RAAGANLAL (1975). His fans have always appreciated his mannerisms and stylised delivery of dialogue in films. Rajinikanth has worked in over 150 films across various film industries of India.

He has grabbed six Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, four Best Actor Awards and two Special Awards for Best Actor and a Filmfare Best Tamil Actor Award. The actor was conferred the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honour in 2000.

Rajinikanth enchanted his fans in films like ENTHIRAN, SIVAJI, MUTHU, MOONDRU MUGAM, and MULLUM MALARUM.

At present, the superstar is busy shooting for his daughter's much hyped film KOCHADAIYAAN which also stars Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone in lead. According to reports, the 3D version of his popular film SIVAJI titled SIVAJI 3D will be released on his 62nd birthday.
