Deepika Padukone: Ranbir and I never had a fight

Over a period of time, Deepika Padukone has certainly made herself comfortable with conversations that seem to revolve around a certain RK. While she smiles it all away and continues to keep a good composure, the fact that she is now also shooting for YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI with him has only strengthened their bond further. No wonder, she doesn't seem to be as conscious when the topic breaches towards ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor. While all seems to be well with both of them, it is also akin to a fresh beginning for the duo as colleagues as well as friends.

'Arrey, but I wouldn't even call it as a fresh beginning,'' smiles Deepika, 'This so called fight and awkwardness was in the mind of people and media and not me or Ranbir. Everyone close to us knew that right from the time when we had broken up, we had never disconnected. In fact we never even had a fight as well as it was a mutual separation. We have been in constant touch with each other over the last 3-4 years. We may not speak on a daily basis but we know for sure which part of the world we are. Also, we know that we would be there for each other, come what may.

'This would have come in handy particularly during last few months, especially since Deepika has been shooting in multiple films across countries and languages.

'Well, call it cliche'd but then while I am content, I am not satisfied. This is just a beginning and I have a lot more work to do for sure,'' smiles Deepika before signing off.
