Amitabh wants harsh punishments for Delhi gang-rape convicts

The outraging gang-rape incident of the 23-year old medical student in the capital city has shattered the entire nation including Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Distraught with such heinous crime, Big B expressed his annoyance on the public platform.

He took to micro blogging site to express on the shameful incident and condemn the system.

''Durga, Kali, Lakshmi are goddesses .. we pay homage to them, respect them. Women need to be respected, and given pride of place!!,'' he tweeted

He added, ''The fear of system, of order, of conduct guided by justice, is fast disappearing. Is this the freedom that our elders fought for !! Injustice of rape shall invite many discussions. Advocate harshness of punishment, human rights move in. Follow law ..legal loopholes.''

''On this public platform I dare not even attempt to mention the details of the rape case .. even an animal would not behave so.''

''Wanted to say so much of the day .. but so disturbed by the gang rape case in Delhi .. atrocious and unforgivable!! Enough said ! Enough ! I cannot express anymore,!!'' Big B concluded.

Even Big B's loving wife and Rajya Sabha member Jaya Bachchan was, reportedly, in tears when she was asked about the appalling incident.
