KHILADI 786: Asin delivers third success in a row

KHILADI 786 has crossed the 70 crores mark and has enjoyed a good breathing space with a clear two week run. Meanwhile the film's leading lady is also happy that her third success in a row this year is in for a long haul once it hits the television circuit. Since she has managed to penetrate the family segment with practically each of her earlier releases so far, she is happy about the fact that KHILADI 786 would only add on to that.

Asin nods in agreement, 'Yes and more so since this is a U certificate film which is always a big point for a family film. At least our film can be shown as it is without any cuts.'

Still, it has to be stated that even though the film managed to sustain well with word of mouth, wasn't she a little taken aback when it's opening wasn't in line with the huge expectations that everyone had from it?

'I will tell you what, as a practice I don't bother following reports that come out for the first three days. I just let a film of mine breathe for the opening weekend and don't get into its daily track. That is for the makers and if they are happy then I get to know about that. Why to stress myself,'' she smiles, 'I start looking at how the film is holding on from Monday onwards and this is what I did for KHILADI 786 as well. Once I was told that from Sunday itself the film had been showing an upwards trend, I knew that we had a winner in hand.'
