Irrfan-Tigmanshu gear up for powerful association in 2013

2013 would see the solid association of Irrfan Khan and Tigmanshu Dhulia resurfacing all over again with SAHEB, BIWI AUR GANGSTER RETURNS followed by BULLET RAJA, something which is much awaited, especially after their powerful association in PAAN SINGH TOMAR. Even though many months have gone by since the release of the film, it has managed to fetch cult status for itself. The film's success also showed that more than just the promotion and marketing, it is the content that matters most.

''Yes, and why just PAAN SINGH TOMAR? Look at KAHAANI and VICKY DONOR for that matter; these were the films that worked as well in a major way. They showed yet again that audience is really hungry for the content and they want to see original films from our country. In a way they are challenging filmmakers and motivating them to tell interesting stories or bring on those stories that can be told interestingly,'' says Irrfan.

He is silent though on the chemistry that Tigmanshu is trying to create between him and the leading lady for the film BEGUM SAMRU. Currently a new name is being thought about, now that neither Kareena Kapoor nor Vidya Balan is doing it due to its bold content. Since there hasn't been an official announcement on the film yet, what really is happening on that?

''I guess it would be better to talk about it when things have materialised. Tigmanshu has many projects lined up so he has to come back to me around what he is planning next and what do I have to do there'', he shrugs away before signing off.
