Imran Khan: Kareena is unaffected by her stardom

With Kareena Kapoor being one of the topnotch actresses of Bollywood, it comes as no surprise to see the actress portraying meaty roles in her films. Considering this fact, one wonders if Imran Khan wasn't apprehensive to be paired opposite a co-star of her caliber in the upcoming film EK MAIN AUR EKK TU. Didn't it bother him that in the presence of Kareena he might get overshadowed a bit?

Well surprising as it may sound but Imran was never uneasy with this fact. On the contrary Imran always wanted Kareena as his co-star in the film. ''Kareena is just one year older to me. Her image is older because she has been working for a long time now. So it doesn't make much difference. Shakun and I wanted her for this film. Her dates were not available as she was busy with BODYGUARD and RA.ONE. So, Karan thought of roping in someone else. But I was adamant and was of the opinion that nobody else can do this role but Kareena. I kept my dates free for this film so when she'd get free we can shoot.''

Imran further divulges on why he was so firm about Kareena. ''I am of the belief that you have to surround yourself with best actors as it makes the film better, it also makes you better. It elevates the film and your performance. When you have an actor like Kareena you get motivated to go that extra mile. She is a very solid actor and someone who I have admired for years,'' He says.

Imran is besotted with Kareena's style of acting. He's all praise for the actress, ''The kind of an actor she is because of the kind of person she is. Since she's a chilled out and relaxed person her acting is the same. She understands the character and emotions very well. She is so spontaneous that like an audience you enjoy watching her.''

To many, Kareena comes across as stubborn or arrogant or demeaning person. However it would be startling to know the lady is way beyond her image which is often portrayed in public. And this revelation comes from her co-star, Imran Khan.

''It's very easy to talk to her. What I like about Kareena is that she is unaffected by her stardom. She is a beautiful woman within. She is a huge star but doesn't come with a baggage. She comes bade aaram se on the sets and will chat with anyone. She is comfortable and confident. She is one actress who doesn't care of make-up and all and hardly takes five minutes to get ready. She has no fuss about the angle of the lens,'' reveals Imran
