Anupam Kher does not mourn father's death; celebrates his life

Actor Anupam Kher, whose father Pushkar Nath Kher passed away on Friday, didn't chose to mourn his death but celebrated his father's life in a unique way. Anupam Kher's father was a very jovial, fun loving person who always tried to bring a smile on everyone's faces.

As a tribute to his father's life, the actor organised a condolence meet and asked the guests to dress up in colorful attires. The actor also invited a rock band to perform at the prayer's ceremony. ''Today is my father's Prayer ceremony. I know he wants us to celebrate life. So there will be Rock band playing in His memory at d ceremony :),'' Kher posted on a micro-blogging site.

The ceremony was attended by who's who of Bollywood. Yash Chopra, Tabu, Mahesh Bhatt, Jackie Shroff, Subhash Ghai, Sikander Kher, Gul Panag, Jaya Bachchan et al. attended the prayer ceremony.

After the event Kher mentioned on a social networking site, ''It is NEVER a Farewell to The Best Dad In D World. Thank You Friends 4 making it d Most Celebrated day of our Lives.:)''
