Amitabh to undergo another surgery

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan said on Thursday night that he might undergo another surgery in the coming days.

Bachchan tweeted, ''Some more tests.. more unpronounceable medication ... and ... another visit to the OT .. operation theater ! Going to be a long stay. I have no idea now how long this will take, but it does look as though it will be long .. thank you for your prayers and love ..!! ''

A regular user of blog and social networking sites, Bachchan has continuously updated about his health conditions with his fans since he was admitted in the hospital last week.

He even wrote about his physical condition on his blog.

''The night started off with great apprehensions, what with the temperature of the fever going up - always a dangerous signal. But the mercury fell during the night, or in today's terminology the digital reading in these modern contraptions, showed improvement and by the morning there was a freshness and hope of repair. Soon after wards though, the additional pain that has developed in the abdomen, apart from the surgical, kept doctors busy and going into a huddle,'' Big B blogged.

''Whenever they do that I always surmise there is something more than normal in the patient. Heavy dosages of even more antibiotics were pumped in, and to facilitate this operation they had to wheel me in to the OT again to put a 'central line'', through an incision on the neck,' he added.

Big B tweeted that he will refrain from giving detailed information on his health condition but will update his fans if there is any 'important procedure'.

''I refrain from giving greater details of my condition .. in the West patient has the right to not disclose - even to family !! I realize anxious members of EF (Extended Family) TwFmXt need to know ..whenever there is some important procedure, will inform,'' he wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Earlier on Saturday, Bachchan had successfully undergone a surgery at Mumbai's Seven Hills Hospital. The actor had mentioned in a blog post that all his health problems was 'a legacy of the past in particular the accident of 1982 and Coolie' adding that the 'subsequent disturbances have all and shall emanate from it'. He was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver in 2002 and later in 2005 he was treated for perforated diverticula-holes in the wall of the intestine. And again in 2008, the actor suffered problems in stomach due to hernia.
