John happy to pair up with Akshay again

Though Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh have stayed together from HOUSEFULL to HOUSEFULL 2, they welcomed the newest entrant John Abraham with open arms. John was happy as well because from the subtle comic world of DESI BOYZ, he could move into a fast-n-furious world of Sajid Nadiadwala's HOUSEFULL 2 which was being designed as a madcap comedy.

"In fact John had mentioned during the promotional drive of DESI BOYZ itself that working with Akshay Kumar again in HOUSEFULL 2 had turned out to be an altogether difference experience for him," says a friend of John, "Also, though there was a huge gap between GARAM MASALA and DESI BOYZ, he was happy to pair up with the actor again in HOUSEFULL 2. The narrative of DESI BOYZ came naturally to him due to its subtle treatment. However director Sajid Khan's sense of storytelling is radically different and John realised that first hand during HOUSEFULL 2. "

In HOUSEFULL 2, though he shares screen space with Akshay Kumar yet again, indications are that it won't have them in a 'bromantic' relationship as was the case in DESI BOYZ. Also, this time around John has actors across all generations for company right from Riteish Deshmukh to Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty amongst others.

"Can you believe that," exclaims John, "What else would an actor want? It has been fun shooting for the film and though it is still two months away, I know the kind of euphoria it is all set to create on its release. It is one masala entertainer with romance, drama, comedy and of course a lot of action. Trust me; this is one house you definitely want to pay a visit."

Stepping into HOUSEFULL 2 meant that he had to get rid of his inhibitions and let himself loose, something that he hasn't done for ages, case in point being DESI BOYZ, FORCE, AASHAYEIN, JHOOTHA HI SAHI and NEW YORK, most of which required him to carry an intense persona. However it was a different story in HOUSEFULL 2.

Says John, "Really, it is one crazy film. It is fabulous to work on films as diverse as DESI BOYZ, FORCE and now HOUSEFULL 2 in a span of a single year."
