Aamir Khan & Ajay Devgn take lead to work for the society

Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn in their own way have started initiating steps, in conjunction with the goodwill that they have generated for themselves with their fans to start working for betterment of the society. While Aamir Khan has leveraged the platform of Satyamev Jayate to highlight the social issues plaguing the society and taking it to the appropriate quarters to mitigate the woes of the common man of the country, Ajay Devgn has taken the other route to contribute in his own way for the betterment of the society.

Without giving it any publicity, Ajay Devgn has entered into a business deal with the government of Gujarat wherein he would be venturing into the arena of power generation by setting up a solar power plant of 25 megawatt capacity in Charanka, Gujarat. It is a three way tie-up between Ajay Devgn, Kumar Mangat and Ramakant Tibre of Roha group. Ajay Devgn aims to reach generation target of about 500 MW arising out of investment of Rs. 5000 crore.

Aamir Khan has now taken his agenda at the doorstep of the office of prime minister where he went to apprise the PM of the problems of human scavenging, and requesting him to put an end to it. Mahatma Gandhi indeed would be proud by the initiative that Aamir Khan has taken. Aamir Khan also fulfilled his promise of using the Cab for women, an all women operated taxi fleet in Delhi, which he had made during the course of the programme where he had focused on the issue of domestic violence.

It indeed is a good sign for the country that the film stars have started taking lead and expanding their area of operation outside the world of cinema and trying to contribute to society in their own little manner. Stars of Hollywood do these activities in a very big and organized manner and now our film fraternity has also making small moves.

What is required is more such initiatives so that the woes of common man may be mitigated by such celebrity interventions and the system should also galvanize itself to be on the job.
