First trailer: Meet moody, edgy HEROINE Kareena

One look at the first trailer of Kareena Kapoor starrer HEROINE and it seems the gleaming actress has a winner in hand! The Madhur Bhandarkar directed film has all the ingredients - sexy item number, style & attitude, glitz & glamour, striking dialogues, steamy lovemaking scenes, et al to make 'Heroine' Kareena Kapoor walkaway with the accolades & awards, perhaps a National Award, as inferred by the filmmaker at the launch of HEROINE first trailer. And why not? After all the 'heroine' Kareena Kapoor leaves no chance to live-up her character Mahi, which she plays in the film.

The trailer starts with presenting Kareena's character as moody, edgy, sankee, over emotional - the qualities present, by default, in every actress, be it Hollywood or Bollywood. The trailer is teemed with smart attention-grabbing wisecracks and dialogues like 'Confidence ke saath bolo na toh film industry jhooth ko bhi sacch maan leti hai' or the one mouthed by Divya Dutta, who also stars in the film, 'Yeh film industry hai, yahaan ya toh manipulate karlo, ya manipulate ho jayo.' But the one where Kareena is shown to get even with the media by spewing hostile comments stands out.

The glimpses of Bebo gyrating to the much-touted item song 'Halkat Jawani' is also seen in the trailer. Though the actress and filmmaker deny about any similarity between Vidya Balan's THE DIRTY PICTURE and their HEROINE, Kareena's body language, expressions, biting her lower lips quite reminds us of 'dirty' Vidya Balan.

The promo also has love-making & intimate scenes with Arjun Rampal, a superstar, and Randeep Hooda. Shahana Goswani too stars in the movie and plays good friend of 'Heroine' Mahi and an actress who gives a damn to awards & acclaims.
