Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone believes being skinny is not hot.

Deepika, who is known in the Hindi film industry for her hot bod, will be seen as Veronica in her upcoming film COCKTAIL.

Veronica's character portrays an impulsive and care free personality.

"Being skinny is not 'hot and happening' at all; rather, a toned, athletic body is the way to go!" said Deepika.

Being a daughter of Badminton champion Prakash Padukone, Deepika said fitness and health consciousness comes naturally to her.

Her bikini sequence in the trailer of Cocktail has become the talk of the town.

Giving a tip to people seeking for a fit body, Deepika said: "If you don't like the gym, get involved in a sport, take dance lessons or do the kind of physical activity that interests you."

Cocktail is releasing in July.

The movie is directed by Homi Adajania, produced by Saif Ali Khan, Dinesh Vijan and co-produced by Sunil Lulla.
