Bollywood box-office report of the week

	ROWDY RATHORE

The coming week will see the release of UTV Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions' ROWDY RATHORE. Directed by Prabhu Dheva the Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer is expected to embark on a big start. The opening at the single screens is especially expected to be historic. Having said that, the film will have to sustain (after a predictable bumper weekend), at least till the second weekend, to be able to achieve a hit status. Chances are that it will!

All the releases of last Friday - RAKHTBEEJ, MLA, ARJUN - THE WARRIOR PRINCE, YEH KHULA AASMAAN, CHUTKI BAJAA KE and LOVE RECIPE- have failed to achieve anything at the ticket window. Even the animated ARJUN, which showed some promise initially, flattered to deceive.

In fact it was the 'small' release of the week before, the animated CHHOTA BHEEM, that had the bigger releases trembling, as it netted a praiseworthy 2.25 crore from India during the opening week, and becoming a surprise success!
