Sudhir Mishra's next won't be offbeat

For someone who directed Indian's costliest film till date, RA.ONE, and has now turned producer in a big way, Anubhav Sinha has already roped in Sudhir Mishra to direct a film for him. However contrary to perception, it won't be an offbeat film and would have an eye on commercials.

"See, first and foremost Sudhir and I are not unknown to each other. Our relationship dates 20 years back. He is like my elder brother. Moreover let me dissolve the myth around him making an offbeat film. That is not the case at all. Do you call his YEH SAALI ZINDAGI as offbeat? Not that our next would have any similarity to that but I am commenting on his sensibilities here."

It is with these very sensibilities that the duo is going through names that suit the film which they are planning to bring on floor.

"There is no tearing hurry though since Sudhir would first be making MEHRUNISSA. We would be starting our film only early next year and while things are looking good on paper, we are in talks with actors who would suit the script and setup," says Anubhav while not quite willing to divulge any names here.

However he does have a big ace up his sleeves in the form of GULAB GANG which has a superstar like Madhuri Dixit making her comeback.

"Yes, Soumik Sen came to me with this wonderful script and after hearing it out, I was confident enough to approach Madhuri for that," says Anubhav, "I go to people with the right intent and they too have a certain trust in me due to which they work with me. I am looking forward to us getting started on the film."
